Therefore, 91% of the fat in coconut oil is healthy saturated fat. Unlike long-chain fatty acids (LCFAs) found in plant based oils, MCFAs are:
- Easier to digest
- Not readily stored as fat
- Are anti-microbial and anti-fungal
- Smaller in size, allowing easier cell permeability for immediate energy
- Processed by the liver, which means that they are immediately converted to energy instead of being stored as fat.

Coconut milk masks

- Heat this mixture for 2 minutes and then apply it to your hair.
- Now wear a hair cap and leave your hair for an hour.
- Wash your hair with organic shampoo.
Coconut oil masks
- Warm a jar of coconut oil in warm water and apply it to your scalp and hair. Give your head
a gentle 3 minutes massage using only your fingertips. As a result the oil will boost the circulation in your scalp. For best results, comb oil through hair, cover with shower cap, and leave on 1 hour or overnight. In the morning, rinse with warm water, wash with natural, sulfate free shampoo, and towel dry. Conditioner is not necessary as coconut oil serves the same functions. Repeat 3 times a week. Note: You can apply coconut oil to your hair after shower if you have split ends or in general dry locks.
- Coconut Oil with Almond Oil for dry hair:
- Add few drops of almond oil to enough of coconut oil.
- Massage on your scalp for 5 minutes.
- Gently comb mixture through hair, cover with shower cap, and leave on for 1 hour.
- Rinse with water and wash with natural shampoo.
- Repeat 2 times a week for dry hair and twice a month for normal to oily hair.
