But what you put into your body also controls the type of hair you have. What you eat and drink daily can have an impact on how good or bad your hair looks. Specially if your goal is to have that beautiful, healthy Indian hair. Indian food is one of the healthiest foods in the world, explains why they have gorgeous locks, both men and women. So, if you want to care for your hair, start with your diet. Try to balance the following vitamins in your daily meals. These are not just beneficial for your hair, but for your overall health.

Protein is important for beautiful skin, hair and nails. our locks are made up of protein. Everyday styling and environmental pollution can strip moisture out of our stresses. Protein smooths the cuticle of the hair, creating smoother strands and stronger hair. While the best way to put moisture and shine back to our hair is by getting a protein treatment. It is also important to include this vitamin in our daily meals. Eggs are the best source of protein. The yolk is rich in fat and protein which is extremely beneficial for your overall health and beauty.

Hair loss may also be a sign of  a bad diet or a vitamin deficiency, specially iron. When you have a lack of iron, your hair may thin and fall. Iron deficiency is more common in women of childbearing age and postmenopausal women. When blood doesn’t have enough red blood cells which transport oxygen to the cells and give you the energy that you need, your whole body will suffer. In this case, your body will direct its attention to provide the most important functional organs with energy, leaving your hair suffering. That’s when you notice sudden thinning and shedding. So try to have more iron foods in your meals. Best sources are: Red meats. Green leafy vegetables. Fish, Pumpkin seeds. Nuts. beans. Chickpeas. Soybeans and cereals.

 Vitamin C

While  this vitamin is beneficial in raising your immunity against cold and flu, it is also important for your hair. Kale. Brussels sprouts. Broccoli. Strawberries.  Grapefruit. Guava

Zinc, which is actually a type of metal, is an essential trace element. When you hear zinc in regards to your health, you probably think of it as one of the many effective natural cold remedies. In other words, only really necessary once in a great while. Zinc deficiency occurs when someone doesn’t eat enough foods that contain zinc or has trouble absorbing and using zinc from foods due to digestive disorders.
